A Night at The Republic

Prior to the said event, participants were welcomed by Sining Bulakenyo (SiBul) and Malolos Hiyas Brass Band as they entered the lobby and registered. And as they went up heading to the program venue, City of Malolos Intergrated School –Sto. Rosario, Drum and Lyre Band lead by Rommel Alcaraz, enthralled the guests with their heavenly music using their bamboo instruments.   As the night started, SiBul entertained the participants by showcasing their talents in folk dance, followed by Joey Perez who serenaded the crowd with his saxophone, and La Consolacion Kalinangan Chamber Singers with their soulful voices.  As the program progressed, participants were welcomed by the Officer-in- charge, Assistant Regional Director of Malolos Division, Nicolas  T. Capulong, Ph. D., and gave his remarks which underscored the malnutrition among students and how proper implementation of nutrition program could be of big boost to its success if not downplayed.   After welcoming the participants, Congressman Jonathan Sy-Alvarado, 1st District Representative, expressed his heart-felt message to all teachers wherein he commended them for thinking the welfare of ‘Juan dela Cruz’ despite the lack of facilities and school supplies. After which, a raffle draw was done to entice-up the evening.   And to further  liven the evening, Miss Rona Robiano allured the audience with her singing prowess as she sang ‘Bituing Marikit’  ensued by Hyper Dynamics of Bulacan State University who grooved to the rhythm of  80’s music played by Major Course Trio. Shortly after, Menandro Pascual delivered the piece ‘Pamana’ as he displayed his poetic side.

As the program drew near to its closing, Hon. Atty. Mayor Christian D. Natividad rendered his message on how Bulacan education programs progress. This was followed by Barasoain Camerata Philippines who wooed the audience with their love medley, and Joey Perez who set the mood lovely as he played songs of  romance with his saxophone.    The program ended with the benevolent gesture of Cong. Jonathan Sy-Alvarado who showered the attendees with giveaways and prizes. After which, evening snack was served as each participant headed to his/her respective resting quarter.The night ended with with genuine smile on their faces and thanked Allan Alba, Curriculum Implementation Division, Chief, who made the event a big success and pride of Malolos Division.
