Division of Malolos ranked 5th in the CLRAA 2017

Congratulations to the Division of Malolos, headed by Dr. Amancio S. Villamejor Jr., CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent, Ms. Amelia Bulaong, EPS I (MAPEH) and Mr. Salvador Lozano, EPS I AP, for bagging 20 Golds. A�The Division ranked 5th, out of the 20 Divisions in the recently concluded 2017 Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA).
The CLRAA formally kicked off at the Bulacan Sports Complex, Sta. Isabel, City of Malolos, Bulacan on February 5, 2017.A�Carrying the theme a�?Achieving Stronger Union thru Friendly Sports Competition,a�? the provincial government of Bulacan and the Department of Education, Schools Division Office (SDO) of Bulacan hosted the 2017 CLRAA to promote sportsmanship, good values and camaraderie among the delegates.A�Senator Richard a�?Dicka�? Gordon, graced the event as the keynote speaker. A�He thanked the provincial governors, vice governors, mayors, vice mayors and congressmen who likewise graced the opening ceremony. A�The Senator inspired the athletes through his words, “You make the country proud. A�Ita��s not about us. A�Ita��s about what we do to uplift our country. A�Today is one of the many days when we define who we are. A�Hindi lang tayo dapat maging mag-aaral, hindi lang tayo maging atletang maghahakot ng medalya. A�We come from Central Luzon, cradle of noble heroes, that is what our formers define for us, and we need to create a culture of aiming high just like them.a�?
Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said that future champions are being molded through this friendly sports competitions and the province will support and help shape the future of these athletes.
The five-day sports meet were played in different venues. A�Among the events were track and field, arnis, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, boxing, chess, football, gymnastics, sepak takraw, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, futsal, billiards, BOCCE and goal ball.
